1 The creation of the heavens, the earth, and everything in them was complete.2 By the time the seventh day came, God had finished the work he'd done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work he'd been doing.3 God blessed the seventh day, and set it apart as holy, because he rested from all the work he'd done in creation.
